Again this year, the hamper may be found right in front of the reception desk.
Every Year the Hamper Committee have the challenge of filling over 200 Christmas hampers to be distributed to English-speaking households in the Quebec City region. Our SLC community can play its part by bringing in some non-perishables to fill up the basket, or making a donation, or both!
St. Lawrence is the place where all the contributions are put together to make boxes for the people who need them. Volunteers will begin welcoming contributions from other institutions at 1 pm on Dec 14. If you would like to be one of those volunteers, you could contact Jan at Jan.Anderson-Toupin@ssss.gouv.qc.ca! Strong arms are particularly appreciated!!!
If you would like to make a cash donation, you may give Christine Dick a cheque made out to The Christmas Hamper Campaign, and it will be turned into such perishables as eggs, flour, beef, and turkeys. And of course, tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.See Joanne McCalla for more info.
