Basic skills such as serving, setting, defensive receptions, spiking, and blocking will be examined during the course. Students will also receive instruction on rules, tournament set ups, offensive attacking systems as well as defensive systems. Students are called upon to evaluate their abilities, and attitudes while practicing the physical activity of their choice, to apply and respect the rules and safety guidelines of the physical activity, to set objectives, and to interpret their progress during the course. Courses are held in the campus gymnasium and occasionally in the fitness center to assess sport specific fitness requirements. Students are expected to experience appreciable improvement of the motor skills, fitness and attitudes required by the activity. Course fee: Exempt Equipment: Students are expected to wear workout clothing, court or multipurpose cross training shoes.
