: Basic skills such as dribbling, passing, free throw shooting, lay ups, three point shooting, screening, defensive dribble contain, denial, help defense and rebounding will be examined during the course. Students will also receive instruction on rules, tournament set ups, offensive attacking systems, positional play (guards, posts and perimeter players) offensive and defensive transition as well as man to man and zone defensive systems. Courses are held in the campus gymnasium and occasionally in the fitness center to assess sport specific fitness requirements. Students are called upon to evaluate their abilities and attitudes while practicing the physical activity of their choice, to apply and respect the rules and safety guidelines of the physical activity, to set objectives, and to interpret their progress during the course. Students are expected to experience appreciable improvement of the motor skills, fitness and attitudes required by the activity. Course fee: Exempt Equipment: Students are expected to wear workout clothing, basketball or multipurpose cross training shoes.
