Welcome to Counselling Services!
My name is Kim Patenaude and I am a full-time guidance counsellor at St. Lawrence. I offer career counselling services in both English and French.
Why meet the guidance counsellor?
- You may wonder if you are in the right program for the career you chose.
- You may not have any clear goals and need to establish one to do the necessary work in CEGEP.
- You may be considering a program change or considering changing schools.
- You have a goal, but you do not know what the next step is to reach your goal.
- You might need help finding out which schools (high school, collegial or university level) offer your program.
- You simply have no idea where you are headed and are ready to invest the time to find out.
- You are worried that your grades may not allow you to pursue in the field you had chosen.
If your reason is not listed here, but would like to meet me, please do not hesitate!
There are two ways to meet me. You can drop in when my door is open or when I have drop-in periods. Drop-ins mean that no appointment is necessary. You walk in when I am free. I meet students on a first-come, first-served basis. Meetings are usually short.
I schedule longer appointments for students who need career counselling (usually more than one meeting). To schedule an appointment (50 minutes), simply contact me by MIO, e-mail or drop in!
