English Test
All students who studied in a French language high school in the Province of Québec must write an English Test as a part of their application to St. Lawrence.
May I Request an Exemption?
Yes, if you fall under one of the following categories:
- Studied in an English institution for at least a year in a regular program (supply your latest report card from that school)
- Come from an English background (write a letter explaining your situation)
- Students who have successfully completed, or are in the process of successfully completing a Secondary IV or V English Language Arts course may be exempt. (Please attach and highlight your grades.) English test form.
If you have applied to the college, you will be contacted concerning this test. You may also wish to make an appointment to write the test prior to submitting your application. Note, however, that you must complete the test and submit your application form BEFORE obtaining an offer of admission to the college.
English Tests can be written throughout the year, however, they are mainly written in groups during the month of February on specifically set dates and times, usually on a Saturday or in the evening.
The duration of the testing session is one hour.
